Podcast tips
Low-frequency rumble (HVAC, AC, computer fans) shows as energy below 80 Hz. Use a high-pass filter to remove it.
Sibilance (harsh "s" sounds) shows as spikes around 6-10 kHz. De-essing tools reduce these peaks.
Compare quiet moments (room tone) to spoken moments — the noise floor should be much lower than speech for a clean mix.
The waveform view shows volume over time. Use it to find plosives ("p" pops) as sudden spikes that you can clip out.
