Crop Photos for Instagram

Instagram feed posts work in three aspect ratios: 1:1 (classic square), 4:5 (portrait), and 1.91:1 (landscape). Pick the matching preset before cropping.

Portrait (4:5) is best for engagement — takes up the most screen real estate on mobile feeds.

For Stories and Reels: use 9:16 aspect ratio. Pick "9:16" from the ratio chips.

After cropping, export at 1080×1080 (square) or 1080×1350 (portrait) for best quality without Instagram's auto-compression hurting too much.
