Slow the rate to 0.7-0.8× to hear individual syllables and stress patterns clearly.
Useful for: hearing tricky words pronounced (German umlauts, French nasal vowels, tonal Chinese), or practicing repeating after the voice.
Browser voices vary by OS. macOS has high-quality voices for many languages. Windows is decent for major languages but uneven for smaller ones.
