Encode Binary Data for Text Transfer
Encode files or binary data to Base64 so they can be safely included in JSON, XML, or plain text.
Data Transfer tips
Binary data (images, PDFs, executables) can't be reliably transmitted as raw bytes in text-based protocols. Base64 makes them safe.
JSON does not support binary values natively. Encode your binary data as Base64 and include it as a string field in your JSON payload.
Base64 encoded data is ~33% larger than the original. For large files, consider using a file URL or blob storage reference instead.
Use decode mode to inspect Base64 payloads from API responses, database blobs, or encoded config files.
