COPY in a Dockerfile preserves permissions. Use chmod in a RUN step (or COPY --chmod=755) so entrypoint scripts are executable.

Running as a non-root user? Make sure app files are readable (and writable where needed) by that user's UID/GID.

Entrypoint and healthcheck scripts need the execute bit (755) or the container will fail to start.
