Print tips
When importing images into Word or InDesign, the orientation comes from the file. Rotate before importing to avoid in-app orientation hacks.
For landscape page layouts with portrait photos, rotating 90Β° to fit can save layout time vs scaling and cropping.
For print, export to PNG to maintain quality. JPEG's compression artifacts become visible at high print resolutions.
The rotated file inherits source resolution β if you started with 300 DPI for print, the result remains 300 DPI.
