Optimise URL Slugs for SEO

Search engines read hyphens as word separators in URLs. "best-coffee-shops-london" ranks better than "bestcoffeeshopslondon" or "best_coffee_shops".

Include your primary keyword in the slug. If your post is about "how to bake sourdough", the slug should be "how-to-bake-sourdough" or "bake-sourdough-guide".

Keep slugs under 60 characters. Longer URLs get truncated in search result displays and are harder to share or type.

Avoid dates in slugs ("2024-how-to...") unless your content is time-sensitive — dated URLs lose relevance as they age in search rankings.
