Your master password protects every other password you own. It must be Strong (score 4) with well over 60 bits of entropy shown here.
A passphrase of 5–6 random words (e.g., "purple-lantern-orbit-cheese-knife") scores Strong, has 70+ bits of entropy, and is easy to remember.
Since you won't store the master password in the manager itself, it needs to be memorable. Passphrases win here — length beats complexity for memorability.
