Neumorphism uses two shadows: one dark on the bottom-right (matching surface darkening), one light on the top-left (matching surface highlight).

It only works on solid background colors — patterns or gradients break the illusion. Best with #e0e5ec, #f0f2f5, or similar near-white tones.

Accessibility warning: neumorphism inherently has low contrast. Always add a text label or border for accessibility — don't rely on shadow alone for affordance.
